Just last Sunday we took on Levadiako in what proved to be a very difficult game. Levadiako would strike to woodwork in the opening 10 minute and almost took an early lead. We would respond in the 25th minute with a very good free kick from the edge of the box from Anarkoglou which tested the Levadiako goalkeeper.

The first half ended at 0-0, a very quiet half to say the least. However Founta was given a yellow which means that is going to be suspended for 2 of our 3 remaining games. In the 70th minute Koutroubi had a half decent header which caused some trouble for the goalkeeper.
Yet again Leinen delayed to put in subs, our team was looking tired and simply wasn’t creating a whole lot. In the 80th minute a sub finally came on, 20 minutes late I would say. However in the 90th minute Founta made the play of the game and didn’t even score.
Levadiako had a free kick near our penalty box and Founta went and stood right in front of the ball and refused to move away forcing the referee to give him a second yellow which means he is only going to get suspended from our next game rather than 2 of the remaining 3 important games he have. A brilliant move from our 17 year old.
The game ended at 0-0 a point for AEKARA, but we needed and could have gotten all 3. It was a very uninteresting game of soccer where not much happened. We currently find ourselves tied for 12th place with Veria on 30 points.
Our next game is on Monday, April 8th at Pas Gianena possibly another tricky away game. We are also going to be without one of our stand out players this year in Founta which draws backs the team on the offensive side of the ball.
At this point we still need to keep fighting every single game and try and win our last three games, to climb the table and avoid the hated relegation zone. ELA MORI AEKARA MOU!!!
